A Cultural Resources Reconnaissance Survey of the Proposed Bayou Meto Reservoir Alternative, Faulkner and Pulaski Counties, Arkansas.

Abstract

The purpose of our research project was to evaluate the potential of the Bayou Meto alternative for containing significant cultural resources and to assess the impact of possible future project construction on these resources. A 15 percent sample of the possible project area was intensively examined, and four small archaeological sites were discovered. These four sites would be destroyed by inundation should the Bayou Meto alternative be selected and construction take place.
