Survey of the Archaeological and Historical Resources in the Area of a Proposed Boat Launch near Richardson's Landing in Tipton County, Tennessee.
Abstract
No significant cultural resources were identified within the project area by the GSRI team. The two prehistoric sites discussed in the GSRI proposal were located but both were well outside the boundaries of the project area. The historic boat landing was not located, its absence being attributed to extensive lateral erosion of the Mississippi River in this area.
