Archaeological Field Investigation: Corps of Engineers Items L22 and L15, St. Francis Basin Project.

Abstract

The Arkansas Archeological Survey conducted archeological field investigations of Items L22 and L15 of the St. Francis Basin Project in June, 1976, for the Memphis District of the Corps of Engineers. The areas involved are on the northeast side of the L'Anguille River, just above its junction with the St. Francis River, in Lee County, Arkansas. No archeological resources were discovered during the survey. The area is considered to have little potential for the presence of archeological resources, principally because of its low elevation and previous construction disturbance.
