The Mangrum Site, Mitigation Through Excavation and Preservation.

Abstract

This report focuses on a US Army Corps of Engineers-Memphis sponsored archaeological mitigation program at the Mangrum site (3CG636) a Late Woodland/Early Mississippian settlement located along the eastern rim of the St. Francis Sunk Lands in northeast Arkansas. A three phase mitigation program included partial excavation, preservation and assessment of preservation.
