Background and Literature Study for the L'Anguille River Project Area.
Abstract
A background and literature search was conducted. The study includes an analysis of the environment, a discussion of previous cultural resource investigations in the area, a summary of the findings of these previous investigations, a record of previously recorded cultural resources on file with the Arkansas Archaeological Survey, a map of site locations, and a discussion of the distribution of the previously recorded sites. A total of 79 sites were recorded within or adjacent to the project area. Sites dated to all periods of the regions cultural history are expected to be within the project area.
