Advanced Recognition Techniques Study.

Abstract

This report describes Electro-Optical techniques studied to enable targets to be recognized from a ship or aircraft under conditions where traditional imaging cannot provide sufficient resolution. Techniques investigated include remote sensing of gaseous emissions, polarization, moving target indication, optical radar, and scaling. Description of the concepts considered, a range analysis, experimental results achieved, and conclusions/recommendations are presented.
