OPERATION HARDTACK. Project 15.1. Report to the Scientific Director. Technical Photography.

Abstract

Technical photography on OPERATION HARDTACK included recording the visible aspects of all detonations. To accomplish this photography, EG&G maintained automatically operated photostations on both Bikini and Eniwetok Atolls, and in addition, instrumented shipboard and aircraft stations for the underwater and high-altitude events. Complete processing and analysis facilities were maintained on Parry Island. This report contains a general summary of the EG&G photographic effort and a detailed discussion of the methods and results pertinent to the fireball photography.
