Design of a Field Test for Probability of Hit by Antiaircraft Guns

Abstract

The test design presented in this report provides the basis for a detailed test plan to be developed by the Test Director. The design describes what data and major instrumentation will be required, the test conditions, aircraft support, antiaircraft gun systems and range requirements for the field test. In addition, the report describes a preliminary plan for analysis and evaluation. The field test described is one element in a program to validate and improve mathematical models of an antiaircraft gun firing at an aircraft.
