Development of a Computer Simulation Model for the Seaborne Mobile Logistic System (SMLS) at the Amphibious Task Group/Marine Amphibious Brigade (ATG/MAB) Level

Abstract

A computer simulation model has been developed for the Seaborne Mobile Logistic System (SMLS) at the Amphibious Task Group/Marine Amphibious Brigade (ATG/MAB) level to permit evaluation of the concept. This interactive simulation model permits simultaneous evaluation of all major subsystems of SMLS. System procedures, facilities, equipment, and design may be varied to evaluate the effects of such changes on the total system. The model is written in the simulation language TRANSIM. This report contains a description of the modeling process, the model logic flow, and the input/output parameters.
