Adaptive Bandpass Tunable Filter (AS-11B-1)

Abstract

A study was performed to determine the feasibility of providing adaptive tunable video bandpass filtering on an AS-11/B1 automated analytical stereoplotter. Various active filter forms were studied to determine their applicability to the AS-11/B1 tunable video filtering task. A digitally tuned analog filter type was selected, and experimental filter hardware was developed. Experimental software for controlling the filter was also developed. Experiments performed significantly reduced the number of searches and manual assists required under certain model conditions.
