Compilation and Preliminary Analysis of Sensitivity Data for Pyrotechnics. Phase 1

Abstract

Sensitivity data generated to date in the Hazards Evaluation Program at NSTL has been compiled and analyzed for usefulness in generation of sensitivity curves of pyrotechnic materials. The materials studies have been grouped according to their functional dependence. The Bruceton method of statistical analysis was reviewed for generation of sensitivity curves. Pyrotechnics were categorized into: (a) Initiators, (b) Illuminants, (c) Smokes, (d) Heat producers, and (e) Delay items.
