Muzzle-Blast Influence on Trajectory of Asymmetrical Fin-Stabilized Projectiles

Abstract

Trajectory perturbations caused by muzzle blast are investigated by analytical techniques. A closed-form expression for the deflection of the projectile is obtained. Using this expression, it is found that the jump caused by muzzle blast is negligible compared to the total dispersion.
