AIRCRAFT SHELTER-DICE THROW Data Report

Abstract

This report presents the data for the AIRCRAFT SHELTER-DICE THROW test. This test was a part of the DICE THROW Series conducted by Field Command Defense Nuclear Agency at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. The test was conducted on 6 October 1976 at 0800 hours. The test subjected a scaled model of a proposed aircraft shelter closure and three scaled models of aircraft shelters to the airblast effects from the detonation of 570,000kg (630 tons) of ammonium nitrate/fuel oil (AN/FO) to evaluate the blast response of the closure and shelters.
