Generating Weather Data for Linear Weapons Allocation Models.

Abstract

Some weapons allocation models that use linear programming techniques have a capability of taking weather into account. These models require as input the probability that the weather at a given location and a given time is within given limits, usually determined by launch envelopes of weapon systems. This report shows one way in which raw data provided by the Air Weather Service can be converted into a form useable by these models.
