The literature search reveals that the usefulness of sources listed in priority is as follows: Defense Documentation Center, Air University Index, gun enthusiast magazines, and Readers' Guide to Periodical Literature. Recommendations include questions for future efforts in the following areas: commercial hand guns, M1911A1 modifications, training, hand gun design, bullet design, manufacturing, multi- projectiles, machine pistols, costs, and microballistics.
