Acceptance Criteria for Aerospace Structural Adhesives.

Abstract

FM400/BR400 and fm73/br127 adhesive/primer systems were analyzed to determine suitable adhesive acceptance criteria based on their structural performance, durability, and processability in terms of their chemical formulation parameters. The chemical composition and mechanical property baseline requirements were established for standard production quality material and adhesive/primer systems. Special batches of FM400/BR400 and FM73/BR127 intentionally varied in their chemical composition were procured. All variables in chemical composition were independently evaluated for their effects on strength, durability, and processability. (Author)
