Integrated Computer Aided Manufacturing (ICAM) - Task II. Volume III. Scientific Organization of Batch Production.

Abstract

This book sheds light on the present day state of the organization of batch production. The basic trends in the development of the theory and practice of machine building technology and tool making are examined on the basis of unified manufacturing processes. The problems of the standardization of manufacturing processes and the methods of their classification, the principles of planning and selection of the optimum version with the aid of computers, the problems of establishing basic standards, the organization, scheduling and planning of batch production are clarified. The materials relative to the design of readjustable manufacturing equipment, mechanization, and specialization of tooling, the planning of the multi-object flow and automated lines are examined. The actual problems of the unified production processes for the manufacture of blanks and the machining of workpieces and their assembly are examined. (Author)
