Nitrogen Trifluoride NF3 Oxidizer System Design Criteria Development.

Abstract

The Nitrogen Trifluoride Oxidizer System Design report details the material compatibility results between a mixture of nitrogen trifluoride and helium and 15 candidate materials under adiabatic compression conditions. Mechanical impact tests were conducted with Teflon and Kel-F in nitrogen trifluoride/helium atmospheres and in pure nitrogen trifluoride at pressures up to 2515 psia. (Author)
