Architecture Study for Tactical C3 Construct.

Abstract

This report discusses the potential of distributed data processing for TAC/C3. The report identifies and discusses key issues related to the design, development, and implementation of DDP architectures for TAC/C3. In addition, candidate architectures are described, at the Local Computer Network Level, which provide evolutionary growth from the current centralized DP approach to a fully distributed DP configuration. Finally, a set of 22 recommendations, observations and issues are outlined which are felt to be key to the effective use of DDP architecture concepts for TAC/C3. (Author)
