Erectable, Long-Range, Trans- or Postattack C3 and Future MAP Missile Basing.

Abstract

This short paper is intended to outline issues that bear on the technical feasibility and operational utility of incorporating an erectable, long-range C3 capability into a future MAP missile system. Selected mission needs and candidate communications payloads are discussed. Threat and operational issues for several missile-launched payload options are outlined and discussed. Finally, concepts worthy of future study are recommended.
