Blast Computations over a Hemicylindrical Aircraft Shelter

Abstract

This report describes a three dimensional, finite difference hydrocode (HULL) simulation of an experiment for blast leakage into a hardened aircraft shelter model. The computer program used LAMB subroutines to simulate the blast wave and HULL to solve the hydrodynamic equations. Experimental and computer pressure-time results are compared. Some additional HULL results are shown and advantages and difficulties are discussed.
