Thermoelectric Cooling: Review and Application. Aeromedical Review

Abstract

Presented here are the theory, the applications, and an analysis of the problem of cooling a ground troop dressed in chemical warfare protective clothing. The analysis models the human thermal burden, resulting from metabolic and environmental heat production. For the thermal burdens considered, the analysis shows that the current thermoelectric cooling technology will not practically or efficiently support total thermal regulation.
