ICAM Sheet Metal Center Concept Design. Volume I. Executive Summary.
Abstract
This report covers the work performed on Sheet Metal Center Concept Design. Phase I of the program established requirements of parts features and cost; opportunities for potential cells, technology requirements, performance and simulation requirements; a center concept was hypothesized and cell operation was modeled and performance was simulated. In optional Phase II cell specifications were developed and center details were finalized, performance was simulated and cost vs benefit analysis was performed. The report includes the final work period, not previously reported, in which center implementation plans and cost vs benefit analysis including return on investment predictions were completed. The report is divided into five volumes.
