ICAM Manufacturing Cost/Design Guide. Volume 4. Electronics User's Manual.

Abstract

The Manufacturing Cost/Design Guide (MC/DG) enables airframe and electronic designers to achieve lowest cost by conducting trade-offs between manufacturing cost and other design factors such as, for electronics, reliability. When fully developed, the MC/DG will permit electronic designers, at all levels of the design process, to quickly perform cost trade comparisons of manufacturing processes and also performance/cost trade-offs on electronics components and subassemblies. This electronics User's Manual Contains sections on: Design Process Descriptions; Conceptual Design; and Detail Design.
