Groundwave Communications Ranges for the Small Missile.
Abstract
Groundwave MF-lower HF communication is one candidate for communications between the hardened mobile launchers and/or silos of the new small missile (NSM) and the launcher control centers (LCCS). This report is an analysis of the capabilities of such a communications system in terms of effective communications range for various combinations of data rate, radiated power, error correction coding, and grade of service required.
