Prevention of Influenza and Other Respiratory Diseases - Laboratory Studies

Abstract

This report describes treatment for specified limited population suffering from infection by influenza A and influenza B. Following the Christmas break, both Influenza B and Influenza A were present at Lowry Air Force Base over a period of many weeks, with Influenza B predominating. Post-vaccination antibody titers for Influenza A H3N2 and H1N1 were excellent in the students and reasonably good in the permanent party. Influenza B titers measured with the ether-treated B/USSR/83 appeared to be comparably high.
