Exploratory Development of an Ultrafast-Curing Wound Dressing

Abstract

We are developing a drug-dispensing field dermal dressing. The dermal dressing, which can be easily applied by an untrained person, contains a dual antibiotic to prevent bacterial infection. The medicated dermal dressing is made of an ultra-fast-curing poly-urethane oligomer which is designed to cure at room temperature and delivers drugs on a controlled, sustained and highly reproducible basis.
