Preparation of Drugs and Bulk Chemical Compounds for the U.S. Army Drug Development Program.
Abstract
The synthesis of eighteen target compounds were investigated during the annual period. The preparation of eleven of the target compounds, three of which are new to the chemical literature, were completed and the products were transmitted to WRAIR. The varied uses for the target compounds include: antimalarial, intermediate in the synthesis of Galanthamine analogs, potential cyanide poisoning antidotes, organophosphate poisoning antidotes, antifilariasis drug, and spin labeled and fluorescent probes.
