Identification and Selective Acquisition of Chemicals and Drugs for Antiviral Chemotherapy

Abstract

The capacity of the database and the services availability were increased during this report period. New suppliers were identified, old suppliers were recontacted and sent copies of data from the new database; system (hardware/software) requirements were reassessed. The timeshared VAX 11/750 was reevaluated since initial cost estimates for this service were incorrect. The database was successfully transitioned to the Microvax II. The new program brochure was finished, printed and distributed. The literature review activities were emphasized as a potential resource for acquiring new compounds for testing. New procedures were implemented to increase the potential usefulness of this resource. Keywords: Chemotherapy, Chemicals, Drugs, Viruses, Immunology, Prioritization, Computer hardware/software.
