Synthesis of Antidotes for Organophosphorus Acetylcholinesterase Inhibitors.
Abstract
This report describes the preparation of heteroaromatic carbamates for evaluation of prophylactic and antidotal activity against organophosphorus (OP) acetylcholinesterase inhibitors. Synthetic procedures for 27 new compounds are included. Both in vitro acetycholinesterase activity and in vivo prophylactic and antidotal activity against OP toxicity is reported for several of the compounds prepared earlier in the project. Tentative structure activity relationships are considered.
