Selected High Intensity Diagnosis/Procedures/DRG Workloads by States, Fiscal Year 1991

Abstract

This report presents a detailed summary of CHAMPUS Fiscal Year 1991 institutional services workload data for selected high intensity diagnoses, procedures and DRGs. Appendix A contains workload summaries on selected surgical procedures (pp A-1 to A-7), neonatal ICU diagnoses, and neonatal DRGs. Appendix B shows the workload broken out for each of the neonatal DRGS. Appendix C contains workloads for each of 70 DRGs which had relative weights greater than 2.0 (HCFA 8/91). Workloads, shown by patients' state or country of residence, include the number of patient admissions, number of patient dispositions, number of bed days, average admissions length of stay, and average dispositions length of stay.
