Estimating Wartime Disease, Non-Battle Injury and Battle Reaction Casualties in the U.S. Air Force.

Abstract

This paper presents the deliberations and conclusions of a series of USAF expert panels convened to derive a methodology and data for predicting the likely number of disease, non-battle injury (DNBI) and battle reaction casualties to be expected among U.S. Air Force personnel during future wartime operations. The information will support development of the DNBI module of the Threat Related Attrition (THREAT) System. Battle fatigue, Disease, Casualty estimation, DNBI, Combat stress, Non-battle injury.
