Abstract

The purpose of the biota remedial investigation report is to present the current nature and extent of contamination in biota on RMA. The report integrate known historical information, the results of previous investigations, and results of current programs. The report is divided into the following sections: General background information on RMA contamination and past investigations; Description of the physical environment, regional biota, and biota within the arsenal; identification of important biological components as a basis for evaluating contamination; Summary of the methods used in this assessment; Data on the types and concentrations of contaminants in RMA biota; and Assessment of the distribution and concentration of contaminants in biota and associated environment to evaluate pathways for contaminant movement.
