Abstract

This report describes the general scope of an investigation which has for its purpose the selection of the most desirable material for the removal of carbon dioxide from submarine atmospheres. The problem involves the removal of approximately 3 percent carbon dioxide from air and, although complete removal of the carbon dioxide is not required it is desirable to reduce it to less than l.5 percent.
