Development of the Variable Confinement Cookoff Test

Abstract

The Variable Confinement Cookoff Test (VCCT) was developed to provide a low cost, small-scale method for evaluating the response of energetic materials to thermal stimuli. Confinement of test samples may also be varied to evaluate its effect on reaction behavior. This report documents the configuration, test procedures, and test results obtained to date for the VCCT.
