Abstract

This document includes two sections of The report of the Joint Commission for the Investigation of the Effects of the Atomic Bomb in Japan. Section 6 is entitled Hematology. It includes observations on changes in the peripheral blood and the blood clotting mechanism in patients with radiation injury from Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Section 7 is entitled Studies on Bone Marrow obtained by Biopsy. It includes observations on changes in the bone marrow obtained by biopsy from patients with radiation injury from Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
