A Subacute Care Intervention for Short Stay Cancer Surgery

Abstract

This study was designed to address the well-documented, but unmet, physical and psychological needs of women undergoing surgery for breast cancer. The purpose of this study was to support women during the immediate post-operative phase in order to facilitate return to pre-surgical quality of life and improved physical and psychological well-being, at a reasonable cost following short-stay surgery for breast cancer.
