Gray Literature

Abstract

This paper provides a brief introduction to the concept of gray literature, successively discussing issues of scope, problems and benefits, as well as Federal Government activities to address and hopefully solve some of the problems raised. The paper concludes by commenting on the roles that information technologies can play in improving the capability, particularly in the Intelligence Community, to deal with a tricky type of information.
