Development of a Dirigible Bomb

Abstract

General equations are set up for computation of dirigible bomb trajectories for the following cases: range variation only, azimuth control only, combined pitch and yaw. On this basis a set of trajectories is computed, with the amount of side deflection that could be produced by full rudder for the last seconds of flight taken into account. Also, trajectory considerations for television or target-seeking bombs are included.
