Development of a Dirigible Bomb

Abstract

The report is concerned with the wind-tunnel tests that have been conducted at M.I.T. in connection with the development of a high-angle dirigible bomb. In Section I the ballistic coefficients and other aerodynamic data for a tentative final cruciform fin-model dirigible bomb are determined. Section II deals with roll torque tests. Section III gives the results of wind-tunnel tests on a shrouded dirigible bomb.
