Operation BUSTER-JANGLE - Radiological Safety

Abstract

A description of the responsibilities, organization, and activities of the Radiological Safety and Health Unit for Operation Buster-Jangle is given. Suggestions as to changes which should improve the operation of, and the service rendered to, the Test Director by such a unit are also included. Data on radiation exposure of operation personnel, decontamination, residual radiation levels of shot sites, residual off-site radiation levels, and off-site fallout intensities are included.
