Communication Facility EMP Assessment, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

Abstract

This report presents an assessment of the Technical Control Facility (TCF), the Automatic Secure Voice Communications (AUTOSEVOCOM), two Commercial Technical Controls (CTC), and the C-sub Keyer at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii to EMP based upon electromagnetic analysis, functional analysis, and operational performance requirements. The report includes the hardening designs to protect EMP vulnerable critical equipment in the AUTOSEVOCOM and C-Sub Keyer. The hardening designs will provide upset and damage protection at the 80 percent confidence level. (Author)
