On-Line Receiver Noise Figure Measuring System.
Abstract
The patent application relates to an antenna selectively connected directly, and through an attenuator to a receiver whose noise figure is to be determined. A noise source is also injected into the receiver by means of a directional coupler. The switch and noise source are controlled by a sequence controller to provide attenuated signals, non-attenuated signals, and non-attenuated signals with injected noise signals to the reciever. A meter is provided to measure the output level of the receiver in response to the various signal inputs.
