Electrically Activated Pendant Release Mechanism.

Abstract

The patent application relates to a release mechanism provided for separating a pendant from a load that is operable by an electrical pyrotechnic squib activated by an electrical signal from a remote control station. The pendant release is particularly suited for a parachute extraction rocket that enables the ejection system to be lighter in weight, more reliable, and less bulky and cumbersome in its association with the aircrewman's harness.
