Extraction Rocket.

Abstract

The patent application relates to a rocket motor for use in towing a load or extracting an aircrew member from an aircraft. The rocket motor is formed in a hollow cylindrical thin walled casing that contains a high burn rate propellant and has a plurality of nozzles positioned in a symmetrical manner at one end. Each centerline thrust of the individual nozzles intersects the longitudinal axis of the rocket case at some point between the rocket nozzle and the center of gravity of the rocket motor. The rocket nozzle end of the motor is adapted to be fastened to a line or lines connected to a load member or aircrew member being used.
