A Bridge-Type Electrohydraulic Actuator.
Abstract
The patent application relates to an electrohydraulic actuator including a bridge wherein each leg of the bridge comprises a series connected fixed orifice and a variable orifice joined at an hydraulic junction or bridge node. A doubly tapered rod passes through and controls the effective area of each variable orifice inversely with respect to the other. A bridge load is connected across the bridge nodes and controls an actuator load. The tapered rod is moved in accordance with a control signal applied to a positioning servomechanism.
