Cooled Gas Generating Solid Propellants.

Abstract

This patent application is related to solid propellants and more particularly to solid propellants which generate nitrogen gas at reduced temperatures. It is a cooled gas generating solid propellant, and it includes sodium azide or lithium azide as a nitrogen gas source, a fluorocarbon binder material, a combustion catalyst, and alkaline metallic acid salt coolant.
