Fluidic Oscillator Fuel Supply for Ramjet.
Abstract
The patent application relates to a fuel supply system for a ramjet engine having continuous closed loop plenum chamber within the ramjet duct with a plurality of fluid oscillator nozzle elements connected to the plenum chamber. A plurality of throat elements in the plenum chamber supply gaseous fuel to the nozzle elements. Flow splitter elements, which also act as flame holders, divide the nozzle elements into two flow channels. Feedback loops are connected between control ports adjacent the throat elements to switch the flow between the two flow channels in each of the oscillator nozzle elements.
