Abstract
The patent application discloses an integrated two dimensional waveguide which includes a single element branched into two element arms such as a y. Electrodes are assembled adjacent one arm such that optical radiation passing through the main body into each arm equally may be switched into a single arm because of an electric field applied through the electrode.
