Submersible Weight Compensation System.

Abstract

The patent application relates to a system for varying buoyancy of a submersible including a compressible container designed to collapse a certain amount proportional to the submersible's depth so that the specific gravity of the submersible varies and remains almost equal to the specific gravity of the surrounding water. The system makes use of air and varying size and strength spring backed pistons. The pistons are moved in and out by the varying water pressure and the water added to or removed from the submersible controls the buoyance.
